THE LAST SWIM!!!

On Wednesday 18 February Tamaki Primary School had a picnic down at the lagoon pools with the teachers and Whanau. We had got there on a large bus and it only took us 5 minutes. When we arrived at the pools everybody was already excited with joy.

When we arrived at the pools we could already taste the smell of the chlorion and then the year 6,7 and 8 got changed so then the year 6,7 and 8 student had a duathlon but the student council got split in groups and they had to be the leaders in that group and they had to run 1km around the basin in panmure but some of the teams were encouraging their teams members.

After the duathlon the year 6,7 and 8 had their morning tea and then after they had morning tea the year 6,7 and 8 got to have their free time and the juniors got to play their games in the baby pool so that they are safe. When they Kia Manawanui we all started to dunk each other and that includes the teachers but we dunk the teacher that were swimming.

Next we dunk others in the pools and then it was Kia Manawanui turn on the hydroslide and you can see all the student dashing out of the pools and walking up the stairs.When we got up at the hydroslide student were already with joy to slidedown. When it was my turn I felt happy because it was frustrating waiting in line because I was just so eager to slide down like a million times. It was my turn on the hydroslide and I felt so excited but we had to wait for the green light to flash so then when it flashed I just zoomed down but at the same time I at scared at the beginning because it was pitch black then at the finish line you could see light and then that was the end of the slide.

At the end of our time on the hydroslide the excitement got even more exciting because they opened the diving pools and then everybody was over joy to see the diving pools open. But it was a boomer that it was only for those student who could swim so then most of us could swim but some couldn’t. We had only 45 minutes then we are out and we got change to head back to school.

At end of our swimming time we all got change back into our uniform to go back to school. When we got to school there were all tired and sleepy.
